SensoPrinted

The technology

Printed electronics is an alternative to traditional silicon electronics. Consists in printing on flat surfaces, these surfaces become inks (textile, plastics, papers, polymeric films, etc.) for intelligent, providing them with new uses in many economic sectors: health and wellbeing; automotive and transportation; professional sport; safety and security; packaging; architecture and construction; and technical textiles, among others.

In our case we use the plastic coating insulating as the main material to develop our sensors. This technology offers an advantage over the competition because we are pioneers in the use for this purpose. It also reduces the visual impact and structural lighting as being a plastic tape with very little thick, is not intrusive and does not cause a change in the structure of the lamp. Regarding the weather, being a laminated printed electronics in a system there would be no problem in case of rain or other inclement weather. Being a mass production, achieves a very low manufacturing cost, thus reducing the temptations vandalism. In the supposed case of vandalism or theft sensors, the device would lose its functionality and very low cost of replacement.

Looking forward

Some studies suggest that in 2020 printed electronics will be part of our lives with products like skin electronics, electronic organs or tissues and architectural elements that respond to external stimuli. And since 2030 we have food regularly use digital and commercial aviation space, thanks to the use of printed electronics industry in different sectors. "Printed Electronics" will have a turnover of 60 billion euros 2020. the aim is to make flexible electronics by printing different components: sensors, circuits, batteries and LEDs, among others.
